MASITE CENTRAL AREA EVENT - PENNDOT's NEW WEB-BASED ICE TOOL INTRODUCTION

November 16, 2023, 10:00AM - 12:00PM @ PennDOT Central Office (Keystone Building), Harrisburg, PA

Join MASITE and PennDOT for an introduction to a new web-based Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) tool. This web-based tool replaces the current spreadsheet/macro-based tool and adds additional functionality such as planning level traffic operations analysis and predictive safety analysis. The tool will evaluate both capacity and safety needs of intersections and produce a Benefit-Cost analysis for several different design alternatives.

Come to this introductory session to learn more about the tool, watch a demonstration, and practice using it yourself with an example at the end. The class will be taught by Pete Jenior from Kittelson Associates in the Forest Room at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday, November 16. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own laptops so they can try out the tool themselves.

This is an in-person only event, but two future online-only demonstrations will be offered at a later date.
