Coming Soon to an Interstate Near You…the Planning of the new I-79 Harmony Grove Interchange

Adding a new interchange to the interstate can be a complex and lengthy process.  This presentation will share how a new interchange is planned, the types of analysis, and the criteria that is used to evaluate the safety and operations of a proposed interchange.  The proposed Harmony Grove interchange, located along I-79 just north of the I-68 interchange, will be used as an example of how this process was recently navigated to get approvals at the State and Federal levels.
